  • Rear suspension sound...

    Car/Mods in sig.

All of a sudden today, when braking I can hear a "clunk clunk clunk" sound in my rear right tire area. It will start clunking right when I start to hit the brakes from say 40mph, and will last a moment or 2 then it will stop as I brake harder to come to a stop.

It will also make this noise in hard turns, even when not braking, and sometimes when going over a large bump.

To be honest, it sounds like my back tire is kinda loose (yes I know what this sounds like!). However, all of the lugs felt tight.

    Idearz?

You probably wore out the leaf spring end tip bushing. You can check undernieth the car by the knuckle. Rock Auot sells replacents, heres the number 5763600 Spicer.

That's the little rubber shoe that goes over each end of the leaf correct?

If so I thought about that too... when I built the car at least. I had to put the Moog pucks in there on my old sedan due to this exact noise... so I checked when I built the car and they were fine but maybe it's worn now
