    Hello,

I need to start replacing some suspension parts. Has anyone had any good luck upgrading their suspension? I read the sticky, and the home-made coil-over parts look promising, but I want to make sure that is all I need to replace my springs. Also, are there any good direct strut replacements besides the KYB GR-2?

I would like to upgrade front and rear sway bars, and add front/rear STB's. I have been having trouble getting ahold of Lee at HT Motorsports...

I need to replace a ball-joint in the front/drivers side. I was thinking about doing all 4 while I'm at it. What about control arms, trailing arms, etc? Are there any decent places to get these parts as well?

Thanks for any help. I basically want to accumulate all of the parts, and just get everything done all at once. So my suspension is good for another 50k miles or more.

    Thanks again,

    T.J.

ok first well start with coilovers... If your referring to the thread at the top of this section... its only for the rears. You will need to contact Held Motorsports for fronts. Other than the KYB's if you can find Koni's they are better but more expensive. You only have springs up front, in the rear you have a monoleaf. The coilovers in the front will replace the springs and the coilovers in the rear will replace the monoleaf.

Depending on what size front sway bar you have, you might not be able to upgrade it because its possible that you already have the largest sway bar. Im assuming you have FE3 suspension since you mentioned upgrade and rear sway bar in the same sentence. You can use the Addco sway bar #474 for the rear to up grade. Front and rear STB's are not a problem, you can find those anywhere.

Balljoints... theres only two ball joints.... one lower on the drivers side and one lower on the passengers side. Replacing the control arm with an aftermarket one... dont worry about it cause no one makes it for that gen suspension. Trailing arms... BMR of Held or GMPP all make tubular trailing arms.
