  • Power Brake Vacuum Booster

I have an S10 Blazer '86 and I need to change the booster. From my books it looks pretty straight forward, 6 bolts and the brake pedal rod. Is this one of those "nightmare" jobs or fairly simple. Do the brake lines have to come off or can the M/C be pulled ahead enough to do the job?

    Thanks

Not familiar with the S10 setup, but it is not that bad in my W-body. In my car (1988 Cutlass Supreme), I just had to remove the master cylinder (just 2 nuts) undo the brake rod, then I used a prybar to rotate it, and release it (using the 2 studs for the master cylinder to twist it.

I didn't have to undo any of the brake lines, or anything.

Took me about 30 minutes to do what I needed to do.

Thanks for the reply. I have had trouble with access with the S10, but the lines was what I was worried about.
