  • Brake Lines

I just wanted to install my SS brake lines, figured it would be simple... I go to take the flare fitting off and all it wants to do is round off. Hit it with PB blaster a few times and let it sit for 2 days, still the same thing.

Now from reading this http://members.aol.com/regal231/lines.htm it sounds like the rear brake flare fittings are actually attached to the line... so I can't just unscrew them. I must be reading it wrong since that would make no since.

How am I supposed to get these things off here?

are you using a line wrench of the right size? you may have to get some gm penetrant and rust inhibitor. seems to work better than the pb blaster. you could try vice grips to get them off, too. you may end up having to replace the hard lines like that guy did. the part thats attached to the body and it held on by the clip stays on the body and the fitting should slide on the hard line. im not sure exactly what youre asking so sorry if my suggestions seem a little "elementary"
