You must release the band clip holding it in. What broke? Got pictures?

IF you have the cable released and need a way to release the silver band clip you need a piece of copper pipe that will snugly fit over the top side of the clip and tap it down over the catches to force them flat all around and once there flat you can pull the cable out the back side easily.

well no my digi camera crapped out.
okay on the inside of the drum is where the clip pulls the lever to apply the shoes thats what broke.

i need to know how to remove the cable that goes from the drum assembly to the equilizer assembly....

okay this is really getting to me, yesterday i had my a/c on.
and doing about 60 and i went to stop....it took too long and i could smell my brakes...my front brakes burning.

today i was working on a camaro, and i seen that the brakes looks just like ours.

they only thing that looks different is the piston looks bigger.

        but can someone confirm this?

Burning? The hoses probably need replacing they are swollen and keeping the brakes on getting them hot. I had that problem.

I know the 2nd gen grand prix's upgrade to Fbody brakes, don't know about 1st gen.
