Ga rear drum to gp rear disc swap?

Ive been looking for a better but less costly way to swap out the rear drums for disc brakes w/o going with the baer kit, but wanting to go more heavy duty than stock gagt rear disc brakes. And the grand ams older brother the grand prix seems to have a bigger rear setup than the gt's do. So question being is if it is possible to swap to rear 98+ grand prix disc brakes onto a 99+ grand am

W-body and N-body both use the same disc and pads, the W-body uses a cast caliper though, but with a smaller piston.

I looked at the Impala as a source for larger rear discs than teh Alareo discs that I have on my 'Bu, but ended up wasting money on the Impala calipers, when the ones I already had are as good as it gets so far.
