  • ABS Light on!

My ABS light went on my 96 GP. I ran the code scanning tool on the ABS module and it indicated that the relay was open. So I replaced it with a new relay. Started the car back-up and light was off and then came on again. So I am ruling out the that relay is bad.

What else could be causing ABS to come on?

My brakes are little warped, but they have been warped before and the light never came on!?!

My other guess is that one of the ABS sensors have gone bad, but wouldn't that pop a code indicating a bad sensor??

Cut wire going to the relay somewhere? Check the ABS wires that go to the sensors and make sure they are intact.

The + cable that goes from the ternimal to the AUX unit, its just a copper nut holding it down. They often come loose and for some reason turn this ABS light on. Try tightening that down. Its a 15mm nut
