So, seeing as how in the thread on gagt I couldn't find it, do the stock GA chrome 16" wheels fit? I'd figure to go up to 12" you'd have to have 17" wheels, might be wrong though . . .
    Thanks!

The regular 16" GA wheels do fit over these brakes. It is snug but they do fit. I have 17" so I wasn't too concerned about it.

Ive done this swap and its a matter of tapping the "F" body braket to 14mm or using a sleave to compensate for the 2mm difference. I used the sleeve and have had the conversion for 1.5 years...no problem so far and the difference is well worth the conversion. You dont have to buy the "Y" body calipers unless you want "Corvette" on your NOT Corvette. The "F" body calipers are the same with no name and half the price. Carquest has the calipers with braket for 60.00 a peice. Just make sure you get the banjo bolt for the new caliper as the "W" body one will not work !

Didn't know both calipers were the same. No matter. I'm happy with what I got.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have the thread on GAGT updated.

well that's cool if the stock 16" fit, I'll look into doing this mod sometime soon (tired of cutting my rotors!!!). Anyways, the F-body calipers are dual piston? It's been a while since I had a set of them off, I don't remember.

98-02 camaro Calipers are what i used last night, and they fit there is a difference with the corvette calipers. the cooling fins go all the way to the front of the caliper. this does make them a little tighter then the camaro. also the camaro are duel piston. but they dont come in any colors, such as black or red. but they would give you the same proformance. if there the delco, they should be all aluminum.

cool, couldn't remember if they were dual or not! I'd rather have a dual set up instead of single. Personally, I don't care much for painting calipers, the only color I'd go with if I could would be to match them to the car - Arctic White. White isn't the best choice for a caliper color!! Stock grey is fine.

I agree with you Tim. I am going to keep tabs on this post because a big brake upgrade is something I have been looking for.

I'll say that this sure as hell beats a complete brake upgrade kit from some companies; they'd want nearly twice as much for their kits, and all the kits I've seen won't work with stock wheels
