Mod day in Southern WI in the spring......

I'm thinking about organizing a mod day at my place in the spring of '06. By then I'll have plenty of tools and air, so we'll have the ability to do lots of things on cars. I'd probably have Ben up to tune chips if there's enough interest. The location would be Cottage Grove, WI, and I'd be looking to have it in late March or April, depending on where I am with my car. Any interest in this?

Southern WI Mod Day

Hey Josh!
I don't know if I will be doing any modding on the Sunbird this year, but I'd be up for meeting up, bench racing, and lending a hand. I keep thinking about getting some porting done on the heads and intakes, but time and money probably won't allow it this year (although the GTP is going to be faster thanks to Charles from DHP!). Let's see if anyone else is interested. Let me know when, and I'll see if I can make it.
You'll definitely have to join me for some more bracket racing this year, since you took to it so well last year! I may have to do some more Autocrossing too, since I seemed to be able to put your advice to good use! I may even try the Sunbird out as an Autocrosser. It would be alot more fun since it's a stick.

Hey Joe! Good to hear from ya man! Ya, I still want to do a mod day, but as you can see from the overwhelming outpour of people wanting to come , it may not happen, at least not as big as I planned. We need to hook up pretty soon, though. I have a new toy you should take a gander at.

Maybe with spring around the corner, more interest will be had. I might actually be able to make it March 4th or 5th is out,nofx show. March 24th is out, slightly stoopid show. April is cool for me other than 24th cause that day is dedicated to being drunk:P

At this point I'd probably be looking at the third weekend of April, the 15th and 16th. I don't have a race and should be deep into more performance mods for my car.

Hey Josh,
Sorry, I won't be able to make it the weekend of Apr 15 - 16. I'll be up north near Minoqua, WI at my father-in-law's place for an extended weekend. He's great, so I don't mind going up there. The following weekend, I plan to go to the Import Wars race at GLD and chew on some imports in the 15.00 & Slower Sport Compact Bracket Class.
We will have to get together before then though. Like I said, I don't plan to mod the Sunbird at all for this year. I just don't want to have to fix any broken parts though either! I want to race it at more of the Summit Super Series races at GLD. Maybe if the events don't conflict with your autocrossing, you could join me? Drop me an email at sunbird93racer@yahoo.com.

Southern WI Mod Day

Hey Josh,
I'm not sure how "set-in-stone" the dates are yet, but I would heavily lobby for the weekend of April 22-23 if that isn't a race weekend for you. I say this for perfectly selfish reasons of course. I would be around (Saturday afternoon/evening anyway), and it would be wonderful to pay Ben to "tweak" my Hypertech ThermoMaster before I go toy with the Imports at GLD on Sunday the 23rd, for the first Import Wars. If this works, then great I am there. If not, maybe we can convince Ben to make a trip up again later in summer or fall! Let me know, and see you soon!
