I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

Nope I'm in Kentucky also. No need in putting me on the list, won't know for sure if I'll be going till the last minute. Then if I do go it will probably be for one night only, for the strip.

Don't think you'll be impressed with the 3.4/3500 hybrid. Haven't got any 1/4 runs, but I'm not that impressed.

What cam did you end up using again? There's no reason you shouldn't be making good numbers. I'm working on one now (N/A), but it's also getting all the suspension upgrades, hoping for it to get 1.7x 60' after changing the pinnon angle, adding weight, panhard relocation, WS6 sway bar (rear) and adj shocks

            • How about tuning? There is a major difference between iron heads and 3500 heads, plus the compression difference.

Crane 272, it seems to feel pretty good in 1 and 2 but falls in 3. But when it quits spinning in 2nd the mph in the logs drops to 27mph then it takes about 12.5 seconds to get it to 94 mph. I'm thinking the camaro is a little heavy for a n/a v6. I hope its fooling me.

i hate you john... why couldn't i find a f-body with a 60* motor that wasn't a complete pile of shit? i could be cool too... but i'll stick out FWD long enough to see how much of a pain in the ass it would be to stick a 78-87 Monte(or any g-body) frame under my 95 body and interior... then i can be cool too... but with a 3900 and most likely at least one hairdryer in the exhaust...
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

I've been tuning with it. I had it tuned going by my blms pretty good when I had the 24lb injectors in. I ended up putting the stock injectors back in when I had my wb o2 on order just to see how it ran in comparison, didn't se much difference after adding timing. After I installed the wb its showing a little lean on gauge and logs, but it actually holds 12.3-12.5 afr during wot runs after I changed the pe settings to 12.5. I haven't messed with it in a couple weeks, but when I get around to working on my rear exhaust I'm going to tune it again. Going by the plx wb I'm thinking the stock injectors will supply it with enough fuel, or I'm going to see before switching back to the 24lb ones. What ever I go with I should have it decent by the meet. Thats if nothing comes up at that time. Btw about how much timing do you think I should be running at wot?

                    • What size are stock injectors? If you are 11:1 with a 272 cam, then you should need at least 24# injectors. I would run them at 55 psi and see how that goes. I would run about 20 degrees advance at 4800 RPM and 100 kpa.

Probably best to another thread. Go to the meet and I can check out your setup in person.

I was just about to say that.

I have updated the sticky post with Friday's events. The only thing I am not 100% on is what we do for food on Friday night. A cookout would be cool if people would be willing to bring a portable grill(s) and we have some compentent and sober grillers in our ranks. If not, we can always head out too, but I think a cookout would be more fun.

Right now I have 16 names on the list as planning on coming. I am planning that half of you are like me and would like to camp in the rented RV with it's beds and A/C, and half willl camp in tents. However, I am also planning that ATM, 12 of the 16 will actually show up, which fills out an RV. I am scheduling Saturday right now and shoould have that figured out tomorrow sometime.

                        • The supermarket isn't far from the campgrounds so cooking there isn't a problem. Hardees is close as well, and they have the country fried steak biscuits....mmmmm

Bring a grill? They don't have grills at the site? I don't care how many beers I had, John can cook

                            • Well, it's not a park, it's a campground. Unless they have some community grill that I don't know about.

                              • i would love to bring the popup camper with me, i can actually tow it with the Frontier and im pretty sure my Dad would let me take it. I just know my mileage will go to absolute shit going over the mountains. If not, ill bring a tent. If its a Tent, ill also bring as much firewood as I can fit in the bed so we dont have to go visit that old dude on the side of the road in the dark house =)

Def bringing the RC truck and a ramp, instead of plywood and a battery.
