      • Wow, a type of wasp that you can step on and it won't care. That is kinda scary now.

Ah so I had you 2 mixed up. Saturday was rough for me, and the crown wasn't the whole problem with that. I normally don't eat much meat, or fast food so that compounded things So Travis has a 60V6 now, sweet. Normally we have people show up before they sell their car and buy a Nissan. I hope Chris works on his fiero again, even if he doesn't drive it to the meet. Same with my MGB. Not practical for the meet unless someone else would be bringing the supplies.

          • Just got home and finished dinner.

Ben, you forgot about the Bimmer at the meet, but I think I may have hurt it once the tires were roasted/sticky and had that nice 2 last launches with no spin. Doesn't launch as nice as the stock 'Bird (both have 100WHP lol), but the Bimmer was faster at 16.8 (2.3 60') vs the 'Bird's 17.1 (2.1 60')

Our client at work decided to put their kitchen off 'till next week, so I had today off, and decided to do some sight seeing. Stopped off at the Lynchburg TN location to see the Jack Daniel's distillery and then to lookout mountain in Chatanooga where I could see 7 states from one location Got lots of pics uploading now and will host them for you guys to browse, or maybe start a new thread with some of the highlights of the trip.

Yes, I was the culprit that brought the Crown to the meet, Ben and I stayed up late and almost polished it off, but I guess that's why they give you the purple bag (so you don't know how much you have 'till it's gone) haha.

I have no idea where the valve covers went, but hope someone uses them :P

Marc, I also thank you for bringing the food and parts, the gift cards were just too much and certainly wasn't expected. I enjoyed talking abou tthe trade with you, and might want to pick your brain a little for future projects.

Chris, thanks for cooking me breakfast even though I got up only earlier than Ben. And Ben, thanks for cooking me breakfast the day before hehe. Josh, thanks for taking the GP air born while Jon (ridgerunner) was wetting his pants in the back seat.

Dave, thanks for helping me with the firewood as the only other ones who helped was Josh one night and Chris using his truck to haul it back to the campsite. We will have to make sure we ALL go out and gather a nice pile BEFORE it gets dark next time

I had a great time and will definitely go again, but perhaps the family won't be so happy if I go alone since they are all excited about the pics and want to go.

The only bad part was trying to remember everyone's names and putting them with the screen names haha. Thanks for the great time.

            • It was great to meet all of you in person. It's nice to have faces and names to put with the screen names.

Good to hear that the food was liked and my wife says "you're welcome". After all, she prepared it all in advance. Who would have thought dog and cat meat would have tasted so good?

I was planning to bring some other parts but opted for the gift cards after Josh reminded me that most of our parts are for GEN-IIIs and not everyone has one. Hopefully there will be more people next year and the food won't take so long to prepare.

We took our time going home by going the long way and making a few unplanned stops to see the local sights. We had considered setting the GPS to "Avoid highways" but decided that would probably take too long. Maybe next time. Hell, maybe I'll have a running 60V6 next time.

Thanks for putting it all together Josh.

              • Well, all I can say to you guys is ..........come back next year!!! I had a good time talking with ya'll <<<< there, I said "ya'll".

Sorry if the "skunk patrol" permenately left a bad impression of Kentucky folk on you guys. Not all talk like that......most, but not all.

The food was great and the two goodies that I recieved will go to good use. Thanks to all for the warm welcome. It's always cool to meet those that you chat with online and to put a face with the name. You guys are always welcome to come back. I'll stock up on that non dairy creamer or whatever that white powdery substance was.......

Glad all got home ok. Maybe see you all and then some next year.

                • Oh wow, I forgot to thank John for the T-shirt! It got broken in going to the Vette museum after I splattered pancake batter all over my red "Stupidity is not a crime, so you are free to go!" shirt while I was trying to help Chris out a little. As for me, I'm too laid back to get a bad impression of Kentucky folk because of the skunk patrol, besides, I've been there before It was also nice to meet people I don't normally talk on here with (littlechief, underdawg, and double00bu). So has Travis signed up on here yet? That's pretty sweet that he picked up a car and got bit by the bug- normally it's the other way around (buy the car, then check out what can be done with it). As for the parts that Marc left, again, thanks! I got a set of the clutch line to 3AN adapters which will be much easier then the hell I went through trying to use air brake line to remove the accumulator.

                  • Although I didnt enjoy the 7 hour drive home (kudos to those of you driving 10+ hours), I had a great time as usual.

I'll dole out the same thanks as everyone else which is well deserved:

Josh - for setting this up and getting everyone back together that could make it, and providing the documentary
Ben - for providing the laid-back-edness and comic relief. It wouldnt be a 60v6 meet without you being there.
Marc and wife - for providing the awesome dinner Saturday and giveaway goodies
Lorenzo - for pitying the fool that didnt like his hairdo, and for the ability to actually start the RC truck!
John - for providing firewood (well, Kentucky provided it, John hunted and gathered)
Jon - for helping with the pancake batter, and whatever else was needed
Jon #2 - for being the human cold-air-divider in our tent, and being the morning rooster =)
Dave - for providing the bat-blinding look into underground caves, and giving the Cave-police something to do other than busting Josh's balls
I guess Clang doesnt post here, but thanks for falling for the 'my phone actually works 300ft underground' joke

Also thanks to the rest of you who showed up in support of the meet. Hopefully I can provide the 3rd fiero next time!

BTW, that cell phone trick was funny, lol. I heard someone else say something about wanting to switch to your provider too.

                      • I am so glad everyone had such a great time, and it just sucks that I missed out. One thing I have to ask is... did Chris take pics of a minor again at the caves?

                          • Well been busy getting caught up around the house and finally got to sit down and read all the new post on here. I really had a good time and enjoyed meeting everybody. A big thanks to CNCGUY (Marc) for the very tasty supper, really good. I can't place pocket-rocket. Maybe next year the hybrid will be in my Fiero and track ready.

                              That would be awesome!

I'm sorry I ran out of t-shirts before you got there, but will make sure you get one with your cam

Your car is more impressive than it looks with all you have done to the motor and cradle etc. Put that same effore to the hybrid, and you will have a screamer.
