I am hoping to actually be able to go. The wife has given me permission, so that's a start! The girls will most likely go up to Grandma's for the weekend. I will probably end up bringing the Cutlass, so I'll be repping the 90*V6.Not sure the wife would let me take her Rendezvous... Either way, I doubt I'll be taking either to the strip. I'll be more than happy to video everyone though!

As long as you guys give me a hand if something breaks, I'll try the BMW on the track. never know how a 25yr old car (meant for economy) will fare against the almighty Saturn!

You run your Saturn down the 1/4 and I will chase it with my Ranger if it gets taken. And yeah, I hope that problem was fixed after all of the suspension work I did. You don't hear clunks and bangs over bumps anymore. And yes, it is a TIB suspension. I wish it were TTB (twin traction beam) because then it would be a 4x4.

I would appreciate that very muchMaybe have some sensors near by to give an audible warning too. Can never be too careful.

...and they come out of the woodwork!
Okay, I don't live in the woods anymore, I live in the urban jungle now.
No commitment yet, but I'm damn sure gonna try to go. And no, I'm not going to embarrass myself by trying to take my Saturn SL1 down the quarter mile. We don't have that much time!

Would that be considered weight reduction if he blew them both? I know it has to be done in stages, maybe fronts, then rears.

Maybe if he's lucky it will blow both front tires at the same time!

uh yeah, I can't imagine a lot of ford ranger owners being happy with blowing a tire doing 80 for an hour. Probably get that fixed when you did the suspension:P

Well if I can make it I guess that means I can save some weight and leave the spare battery at home.Weight reduction FTW.
I've got no doubts my little truck could make the trip if we needed to haul tons of stuff, but from what my friend said when I bought it from him, it blows front tire when run at 80 MPH for around an hour or so. I hope that's taken care of with the new radius arm bushings and axle pivot bushings since the steering slop is now gone and my tires are fairly new.Last edited by pocket-rocket; 05-16-2009, 04:04 PM.

If its a Tent, ill also bring as much firewood as I can fit in the bed so we dont have to go visit that old dude on the side of the road in the dark house =)
Def bringing the RC truck and a ramp, instead of plywood and a battery.
