im sure we'll all have a good time either way, but i notice the one RV site listed is not in the same section we normally take with the tree's so its going to be hotter during the day. Last couple of times ive gone anyway we were in row 2. The racetrack is viewable from that fence. Did they tell you where the rest of them are?

Can you post another list of who is going or edit your first post with the list, and what they wil be staying in? Im undecided on bringing the popup or not
Where I was looking was Row 18. That's where the big RVs are.

Does anyone have a Moates Ostrich or APU-1 they could bring and play around with the tune on my $8f turbo 3.4 dohc? of course that's assuming you know what your doing! I'd like to learn how to do it myself but have no experience with it. I know that there's a few experts on this forum that would enjoy a challenge.

I might be able to bring a few growlers, just gotta find the time to go get refills.. My son has a small shovel that i could snag to dig a fire pit with.

$30/tent is pretty steep but that's better than sleeping in my car.

    Bowling Green Brewery and distillery

Speaking of beer, there is a Microbrewery in downtown Bowling Green.

If you're interested in something a bit harder there is a distillery also.
Established in 2008, Corsair Distillery is an independent distillery in the heart of Nashville, TN. We strive to create innovative spirits worthy of your glass.

    both offer tours mon-sat.

Ok. I have final info on the campsites. For reasons I can't explain, they will not take reservations, even for the RVs. There are 4 RVs to rent, and next to two of them is a normal campsite. So I'm going to try and get down there early on Thursday and claim one of the big RVs and its adjacent campsite. There should be enough room in those two campsites for everyone to pitch a tent or RV (one person is bringing his own), we have water, electric, and sewer hookups on those sites. when I mentioned there would be 12 of us and each one of us was bringing a car, the lady didn't seem concerned. The lady also said there are no fire pits, but we could dig our own and they sell firewood which they prefer us to use, I'm sure because of the friggin ash bores. Anyone got a small shovel?

It's also worth mentioning that the camping rate is $30 per tent per night, not $30 per campsite per night, so sharing campsites won't save money, only tent sharing will save tenters any money. Also, I have 5 people signed up to stay in the big RV. We have room for one more, which would bring the cost down to $33 per person per night to have a nice bed, A/C, bathroom, all that stuff. If we don't get a 6th, it will be $40 per person per night, which is still a great deal. So if you want to forego camping concerns and join us in the RV, PM me.

If you want to bring a grill or food or anything, PM me. I'm going to start making a consumables list and I would like everyone to contribute something. We will need plates, napkins, plastic utensils, sodas, chips, meat, grillable veggies, etc. Since I'm from Wisconsin, I'll bring the cheese. We'll need other outdoor games stuff, too. I've got a frisbee and football I can bring. The bean bag game I mentioned before, too. PM me if you can bring that.

Also, one of the things I love about these kinds of meets is sampling other regional things, mainly beer. If you consume from a local brewery of yours, I'd like to have a beer tasting night where everyone brings something they like that is only available locally. Up here we have lots of great microbrews so I'd be willing to take some requests.

LOL, thanks Sappy. I figured it would be somewhere at Beach Bend park but I'm not planning on staying all weekend, just driving up for an afternoon. Is this BBQ shaping up for Saturday afternoon, maybe before the drags?
