    • So, is anybody up for doing a longer tour through the caves?
I got tired of deciding for everyone else what we were going to do, so I decided we'd all decide what to do when we got to the park.

I live about an hour south so I could drive up there to check out your rides and BS with you guys. Are you planning on meeting together at a certain time for an impromtu car show? A show and shine BBQ?
If you other guys want to show up, nothing is stopping you. I was going to call the Corvette Tour tomorrow and make the reservation for the tour, and call the campground to get more info on the campsites. Since I can't reserve campsites, I'll just have to get down there early on the 20th and makes sure we get sites next to each other. But if two guys are serious about coming to the meet, I'll send you questionaires. But this is the last exception I'm making for registering. After this, anyone else is on their own.

I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

      • Thanks for making an exception. I realize what a pita trying to plan all this must be for you. I don't plan on touring the plant or caves (already taken relatives to both several times) just wanted to hang out for a few hours and talk cars. I was hoping maybe somewhere in the agenda was a cruise-in at the local DQ or maybe get together/BBQ planned for lunch or dinner? somewhere we can get all our cars together, parked in one place so we can drool over each others handiwork.

        • That would either be at the dragstrip Saturday night or at the brunch on Sunday morning.

          • BAD NEWS!!! I was just informed that our reservation for the Corvette assembly plant tour has been cancelled! I was refunded my money, and ironically, the tour will reopen on the 24th. I was asked if we'd be willing to resachedule for then, and I said of course not, people don't have the kind of time to take an extra day for that.

The museum will still be open, and I want to see that, but now we're left with what else to do on Friday. I can do a little digging for some more local events, or we could hang out in Beech Bend park, or we could have some standing around and drinking game tournaments while we grill out. Ideas?

                  • No 60v6s? Yeha, that's a reason not to see 'em made. Does anyone have that beanbag game like horseshoes or the one with the balls on strings and the ladder pipes that they could bring along?

                        • My neighbor has beanbag game like horseshoes (I think it is called "Corn hole") but no way would they fit in the MG.

Is anyone bringing a grill? I can get my wife to make some of her Filipino bar-b-q on a stick and lumpia but need a way to cook it there. Both are very good.

Josh... how many people are you expecting to show up?
