  • any advantage to using different heads on a 3100?

I just got a 95 Cierra Cruiser (wagon) with a 3100 in it. Has a blown head gasket but is otherwise in great condition at 100,408 miles. I want to go ahead and replace the heads with remanufactured, and was wondering if there would be any advantage for a stock car to do some kind of swap. This is my first experience with the v60 gm engines, and I don't if you can adapt 3400 heads to a 3100 or what. Thought I might get creative, but should I just go with standard 3100 heads. Looking to do this on the cheap. Thanks.

3400 heads are a bolt on, make sure yo use a 3400 upper and lower intake with them. 2000+ 3100 heads are the same as all 3400 heads.

if you want some more power yet, find a used complete 3400 and drop it in place of the 3100. it will bolt right in
