Dohc 3.4 swap>87 fiero GT
Hello,
I busy with my swap (montecarlo 3.4 dohc)
Rayn has sent my a pcm of a lumina 3.4 dohc and engine management wiring diagrams of the pcm
Nolan lamb sent some 3.4 dohc wiring files that he has
So lets get to work......
The first thing was that the PCM connectors and the wiring doc. do not come with each other.
So I was looking on www.alldata.com for my wiring data of the montecarlo and print all the engine management-wiring diagrams
Some of the wiring comes to the same thing (connectors and NR's) but others don’t.
As an example the montecarlo engine has two knock sensors and the pcm from the lumina has one ?? Uummmm what do I need to do. This is only one example.
The PCM service number is 16196401 OBD 1.5
And engine is 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo V6-204 3.4L DOHC VIN X SFI
VIN: 2G1WX12X8V9288474
Year: 1997
Generation: 5th (1995-1999)
if i use the cables nr's of the wiring diagrams if the are the same and the collors are the same can i hook them up or is this the wrong way
exemple:
Diagram pcm MAF sensor 492 collor yellow pcm nr D15
Diagram engine wiring MAF 492 0.5 yellow pcm nr 54
I look at the two diagrams and find that moost of all the collors and nr's are the same
Is there a diagram for my swap.? If so please help
