First, turn caps lock off... very annoying.
Second, you won't see cranking RPM via the stock 3500 crank sensor because it is a COMPLETELY different triggering setup than the older engines. Instead of going to the ICM and then the ICM sending a coded signal to the PCM, it 3500 sends the signal directly to the PCM. And then there is the issue of the 3500 having a 56x trigger versus the old 7x trigger...-Brad-

if i remember correctly, the 3500 has a new wierd looking reluctor wheel on the crank, but i think it was possible to knock that off and the old style stock wheel was under neath, maybe he can simply remove the new reluctor and use his stock ecm and cps.If you aren't friends with a liar, you aren't friends with anyone.

The old JOURNAL is still there, but the actual trigger is not machined into the crank. Therefore, he would have to disassemble the enitre motor, pull the crank out, get it machined, put the engine back together, etc....-Brad-

If you aren't in a rush, I happen to know someone who is making a conversion kit to use a 3500 with the older ECMs.MinusOne - 3100 - 4T60E

Or, if the PCM could be configured for the amount of pulses it sees per revolution. Not sure if it is in the binary part of the calibration or not...
