I know for a fact...
...that 1995 is OBD 1.5. 1996 is OBD 2.0. You would have to convert the 1995 to MAF instead of the MAP system that is on it. I have a 1995 3100, and I'm trying to do the opposite of what you want to do. I believe you will need the some extra sensors. Look up my screen name on the search since I asked the same questions.

you'll just have to swap a few things, like the temperature sensor, and you'll need to re-use the '96 upper intake due to the different egr mounted onto it. Injectors too, if you want to get picky, the rocker arms are roller fulcrum in the '96 vs stamped steel/ ball fulcrum in the '95 (and the heads are different because of that). Both are 1.6:1 ratio however so I wouldn't go nuts over it.Brian

I've preached the OBD thing so many times I just didn't feel the urge to spout it out again. Someday, maybe an engine will be smart enough to diagnose itself, but until then, the PCM will do the job for it....-Brad-

Re: Oh, excuse me your lordships!
Originally posted by EspanolaGuitaristaI was taking into account all the smog laws referring to an engine swap! Some other states are very strict about swaps and DEMAND the correct computer to MATCH the engine along with the MATCHING transmission. I talked to a smog referee for about an hour!
