Will a 3.4 DOHC fit in place of a 3.1? What all has to be done to get it in there and will the 5 speed tranny from the 3.1 be compatable with the 3.4?

its going to bolt to your transmission, but as far as getting both to fit, its a whole other mess.
the fire wall and rack&pinion are in the way of the rear exhuast manifold, and the radiotor is in the way of the front one. the passenger strut tower is in the way of the timing cover, and the brake booster/master cylinder in the where the throttle body/arm want to be, and you know how its posible (not) to have 2 things in 1 place at the same time.
maybe with custom headers, it might fit front to rear, maybe you can cut enough off the pass side to get it to fit there, and a custom intake manifold might clear the other obstacles. most people just fantasize about a rwd setup with a tdc motor. that probly the same work withbetter results.If you aren't friends with a liar, you aren't friends with anyone.
