I will be getting a new job soon, and want to buy a 3.1 or 3100 car to do a 3400 swap, what is the lightest car preferably 96 and newer that i can get for this? my bro in law does programming for dhp so i have that end covered atleast. also i will be building up the engine before i swap it in, probably a cam and some port matching, possibly a turbo, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing the right way.

a cavalier is probly the lightest car that came with a v6, but the latest is 94. the older the lighter. the 80s hatchbacks were very light cars, and swapping a v6 into one is pretty simple, even from something that had a 4 cyl.

if you gotta have something obd2 (96+) basicly a beretta is the lightest. id still stick with a 2nd gen j body. the swap is simple and well proven. you will run hhigh 14s with a stock 3400 in a j.
