  • Swapping a 94 3100SFI and a 01 3100SFI

I my 94 blew the hell up! So I found a 01 with 38,xxx miles on it for $350..couldn't pass it up! So I bought it and now i already noticed the plug coming out of the back of the upper intake on the 94 has 2 rows of 5 pins and the 01 has 2 rows of 7 pins...does anyone know what this plugs pinouts are? I know its somthing for the fuel rail and push come to shove I swap the harness in there and take off the upper lim and see what the extra plugs/pins would be for...anyone have any insite to this or better yet anyone done anything like this? What else is going to be different?? I'm keeping the 94 harness and computer because i'm not swapping the tranny.

Both Motors are out of Grand Prix...

Anyone have motor pinouts for both years??

    Thanks!!

Don't stop to think about this, just do.....

Pull the UIM, swap the harnesses and the injectors, keeping your '94 Harness and injectors on the '01 3100.

Now you'll also have to deal with the EGR, as the mount is different.

The easiest way around this so far is to use a 3.1 (genII) EGR mount, and with some mild modification and adapting of tubes, will retain the digital EGR.
There is a how-to for this, on this site, and on www.domesticcrew.com. (Same how-to, written by "Burn")
