  • Chevy V-6 Drivetrain Conversion Update?

Hi Guy's I'm back. I have come a long ways since my last post. To refresh your memory, I'm the one who is installing the Chevy 3.8 3800 Series ll V-6 into my 2002 PT Cruiser. For those who are still interested in my progress, please click on this link:

It's looking really good. If anyone would like to email me here is my email address: kamaki8@hawaii.rr.com Thanks for your support, Tommy.

    Looks good...

But I still don't understand why you'd use a 3800, especially a non supercharged one from an F-body.....

The 3400 is way more efficiant, and makes a ton of power with a turbo.

Anyway, where's the rear suspension at?

      Chevy V-6 Drivetrain Conversion Update!

You are very observant. I will be installing the rear end suspension shortly. It is a solid coil over housing suspension from a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. At that time I chose the 3800 simply because it was available. If I did a better, or more intensive research, perhaps I would have gone with the 3400 instead. I guess I just have to wait to see how things turn out. Thank you very much for your support and comment, Tommy.

cool swap. im not a huge 3800 fan, but im sure you will get a decent amount of power outa that. once the base is built and it drives, there always is the supercharged motor you could swap into it, or turbo what you have.

          Chevy V-6 Drivetrain Conversion Update!

Exactly, once it runs and I get all the bugs out, I do have plans for installing a Competition Cam, and if possible, an after market Supercharger. See what happens from there. Thanks for your support and comments, Tommy.
