  • 3.4 DOHC to a 3800 series 2 Supercharged how hard?

How hard do you guys think it would be to drop a 3800 series 2 Supercharged into my 1992 Z34 Lumina? For the looks of it I would almost drop right in. But I dont know about the Engine mounts. And how hard would it be to wire it all up. Like the Suppercharger? If its going to be way more work that whats its worth Ill just skip it. So what do you guys think would it be work and be worth it?

Wow, I know we don't like the 3.8/3800, but lets be a little more courtious than this.

As Brad has posted l67swap.com will probably be your best bet for info.

I am just trying to figure out why he would want to go through the trouble for 25 hp. or does he like some extra torque?

Heck.. have a turbo put in by one of these guys and get 300HP at the wheels.

The 3800 is way overrated. IMHO, it would be a downgrade. You'd lose 12 valves!!!! Go Turbo. Let that 3.4 Son Of A Bitch breath!! But if you decide to go 3.8, I'll buy the 3.4. Serious.

                  BLASPHEMY!!!

honestly, this is the wrong forum to ask such a question. there are not alot of l67 swaps going on here.

i think brads reply best sums it up.

Let's try and be a little more open minded. Not all people like our engines. Some of us do not like their engines. Granted, this is a 60 degree forum, but it is also public.

The cool thing is, he got the answer as to where to go to get his information. And he got the answer here. I hope his project goes well. I also hope he changes his mind and sticks with the LQ1, and visits some of the performance areas of the site. MHO.... R&BC......

You do realize that the L67 does recieve a little assistance 'breathing' right?

I can understand why people want the motor in their car. It's a proven motor. And as fast as some guys are able to make it pull a pig of a Grand Prix down a race track... imagine what it will do in everything else.

The Woodstock GM warehouse sent out 43 3800s in the last 3 months. I don't know exact numbers but 660s were less.
