Question on a engine swap?

Replacing my dead 3100 ,its a '94 car and I?ve come across a '96 3100 that I'd replace it with. I know I?ll have EGR issues-(Either need to block off or get adaptor plate).
So my question is: Can I use the intake off the '94 thus solving the EGR situation. If not where can I get an adaptor plate or how can I reprogram the computer to ignore the EGR block off.

Just want to know the simplest way to make this swap work.

yes you can use the older plenum on the newer engine. if you havent spent the money yet, you may want to look into a 3400 however. they can commonly be had for the same cost as a 3100 and are a direct swap in. Not bad for 20 more HP out of something you have todo anyway
