    yeah, but i don't have any on my computer since i don't have the car yet, i was just going to grab some pictures of a random one, and google won't let me see anything but exterior shots

        yep, thats the ugly stock thing

        but i found a pic of a 2.8 put in one with room to spare... so its doable

        also, i'm wondering about turboing a carbeurated engine... i've heard its a horrible thing to do, so which year did they switch to fuel injection?

          Have you thought of a 3.8L from a Grand National? If you can find a donor you can save a ton of money. I've seen these cars eat the 5.0L Mustangs for breakfast. All you'll need is to find a manual tranny????? that will bolt up.

            is the 3.8 a V6, or a small V8? and its a 90 degree engine right?

            i've read that you need to do some metal work to the inner fenders to fit a 90 degree in, but a 60 fits nicely

                It is also an out dated boat anchor.

                What kind of hood height do yo have to work with...

                There must be some wreched Caddilacs with the 3.6L in the junkyard by now ... A little pricey but and idea.

                  little pricey isn't really my thing, trying to do this under $5k

                  hood height isn't really an issue, theres plenty of room for the engine... but its not like i can fit a super charger or anything on top

                  i want to stick with the 60 degree because its easier to fit in there, and readily available, so the 90 degree it out

                      It'll be a bit tight by the master cylinder, but other than that, should be plenty o' room!

                        yeah, i think that turbo will end up a little bit forward of where that washer fluid bottle is so i don't have to do something evil like move the MC... that would be a horrible experience

                        well actually, just for the sake of looks, i might as well make both sides equal and have them further towards the front...

                        the more i think about it, the more possible this project seems... and i found out a buddy of mine can probably build me a custom engine management system for cheap...

                          I'm looking at the over head view of the engine bay, and I wonder if my headers will work for you. I'm planing on building some new ones....

                            i can always test fit them once i get the engine in there since you live pretty close, if they don't fit, no big deal... i was planning on building my own anyway, or i might just be able to modify yours to work for me

                                hmm, i'm not sure if it would fit, and i'm thinking i am going to go with the twins, just for bragging rights... so i'd have to modify them anyway, i might as well just build my own
