  • Evap Setup for Engine Swap

I swapped a 3.4 DOHC v6 into my fiero and I have a simple question about the evap system. I pulled the evap canister out of a grand prix in the junkyard but I dont remember which way it was installed in the grand prix. If someone could tell me if the hoses connect on the top of the canister or on the bottom that would be very helpful. Right now I have the can oriented so they are on the bottom as it looks much better that way, but I want to make sure I wont have any problems.

RE: Evap Setup for Engine Swap

Usually the canister is the other way (hose fittings up).

I'm not sure if having it upside down will effect it or not, though I suspect it would.
