  • egr adapter plate

i've looked around but i don't think i've found the right thing - i'm swapping a 3400 top end onto my 95 3100; i thinkthe new plenum is a 2001? i need a plate to adapt my egr. can anyone help? here's what i'm looking at:

may sound stupid here, but being they are both digita egr's, cant you just use the 2000+ egr???

      RE: egr adapter plate

If the EGR bolts up sideways, its 2000+. If it mounts the same way as the 95, its the 96-99 EGR type. I have adapters for the 96-99 plenums to use the older EGRs, but am still waiting for the newer adapters to be made.

the EGR doesn't bolt up sideways; it's vertical ( see pic ).. so i guess i have a 99? my bottom end must be 2001 then; i was just confused over the dates.

i don't know if i could use the newer digital EGR or not sharkey, but as i don't have a new EGR, just a plenum, it's moot. good question though..

so sappy, can you hook me up? =)

EDIT: just noticed your sig - that adapter plate in the 60*V6 store looks like just what i need - that's what you're referring to right?

The 90-95 3-solenoid EGR is the "Digital" one, the 96- EGR is the "Linear" one.

I have one that I was going to use for that same swap. Unfortunately I sold the car and no longer have any use for it. I paid 60 buck shipped from a guy making them on GMFWD.com.
I'll sell you mine for that. Most people want 100 bucks.
