what 2.8l crank would that be. his car was factory with a 3.1l. confused yet??? thats actualy a 90 cavalier z24 with the front end from an 87 z24.
    A factory 3.1?

Then why does it have 2.8 badges on the qtr panel? Hell maybe he never took them off or whatever but thats what I was basing my guess of the crank on. But how am I supposed to know that?

    Take a chill pill dude.

The 2.8 badges are on the fender because the fender also came from an 87, its a different color too, he just didnt take the badges off.

Quinky, if u are interested in doing this, we have a 2.4l HO froma 98 z24 5-speed, with under 60k, that has a blown top end, but the bottom end is fine. it looks like we had a problem with the camshafts, and it made some really bad noises, but the bottom end is good.

ummm not really interested.. I like the 2.3 platform a little better.. TRS has some good aftermarket for it.. not to mention after doing a water pump on both a 2.4 and a 2.3L I am happy its a 2.3... I am more interested in doing a w41 cam, ecm and tranny swap first..
