  • Distributor to DIS swap

I tried the search button but since I am rather new here, it didn't seem to point me in any direction at all. So I am trying this. I have a 2.8 iron head in my Fiero, I am running a Haltech E6GM with it but I am using a 2.8 gen 2 aluminum head block. I was wondering what I needed to add to convert to the dis. I have the crank sensor and I have a DIS pack off my spare 3.4 tdc. If I do the necessary wiring for the ecm, Do I have everything necessary to do the swap? thanks to all in advance.

    RE: Distributor to DIS swap

You can effectivily hook up the DIS exactly like the distributor was hooked up... Let's see if I can find 2 diagrams to explain:

Here is the distributor wiring to the ECM:

And here is the DIS wiring to the ECM:

If you look at the circuit numbers, all of the wires are there. All you need to do is hook them up as shown between the 2 diagrams.
