Not enough room for it. Someone tried it in a cavalier once and it was a big pain.

dont remember where it was, but i read a page where they tried to put the tdc into a j-body. apearantly the firewall was in the way of exhaust, but i sppose headers will fix that. the tranny had to be wiggled over some because the tdc is longer than the ohv motors, the accessories were all in the way, so was the radiator. intake manifold put the throttle body right where the brake booster/master cylinder was. the project was abandoned i belive.

if the berreta is bigger mayber its got a better chance

if i can find it agin i'll make a link, i think what makes it longer is the timng cover. you know how the timing chain drive a pulley for he belts? thats the problem. that was the swap i wanted to do in the first place, 200hp drop in, but its seems to be more of a hammer, bend, break, swear, smash, hit, ruin, and scream kind of install, i just cant deal with that.

exactly. and the money you save between buying a 3400 over the tdc would more than pay for some performance stuff, not to mention the cost of the swap. for the same amount of money you would have into the tdc swap, you could likely have more power than the tdc, and the pushrod is a lighter motor anyways.

see the problem is that everyone on the internet saw that wbesite and quickly wrote off the 3.4 DOHC as a swap that's way over their head.
I think by the end of the summer, this stigma will be all but eliminated.

id stil like to have a tdc j-body, but it is easier to just swap in a lesser motor. stepping into the realm of blasphemy, i wouldn't mind a 3800SC cavi, but again, a 3400 would just go right in for the most part.

off-topic, but has anyone thought of swapping in a VUE redline, 250hp supercharged V6, motor? i here the vue and the equinox are the same platform, and the EQ has the 3500 in it, which is a bored out 3400.

The Vue is not supercharged. It is a honda engine.
