  • 2.8 FI To Carb

I've got a 2.8 out of an 86 Fiero gt, I'll be putting this engine into a Sandrail but I dont want to have to deal w/ all the wires, I have an intake off of an 82 2.8 as well as the carb and distributor I plan on using an electric fuel pump will these parts interchange, i was really wondering about the distrubutor on how to hook it up but will the intake match up? hoses dont really matter i can route them where ever i want any help would be appriciated thanks.

Yes everything will work fine. All your parts are from the same generation motor. Nothing to really worry about.

Is the spare wire white? It may be the tach wire.

It is hard to say without seeing it. I will be able to get you a diagram when I get home.

                  You need to change distributors

When I did my conversion on my 85 Fiero 2.8, I used a Chevy Blazer vacuum distributor. My carb is the Holley 2300 on an Edelbrock intake.

My electricals are essentially Blazer electricals without the Fiero ECM and that spaghetti wiring harness.

I think my distributor was out of an 85 Blazer, but it could have been any early 80's Blazer 2.8 distributor before they went electronic.
