  • hybrid help

a friend of mine just bought a 1990(i think) s-10, with a dead 2.8 TBI. so we have been putting together ideas for a new engine, so some of the things we have come up with are as follows:

    3.4 engine block from a 94 camaro
    3400 heads from a 02 monte carlo
and salvage the rest from the 2.8

will all of this work together? and do any of you have suggestions as what else to get.

    RE: hybrid help

The 3400 heads won't work with the rest of the parts because the other engines are iron head engines, and the iron head manifolds aren't compatible with the aluminum heads.

      True story!!

It takes a lot to get the FWD heads to work in an S-10, believe me I know, IMO it's well worth the gains, if you're going for some pep. If you just want something to bolt in/together, go for the 3.4 from '93 to '95 F-body.
