The bolt pattern of the 2.2 differs from that of the 60V6. One may be able to split the transaxle and use the appropriate housing, although the clutch system will likely also be a factor in determining rather this is possible in your situation.
If the vehicle used both transaxles at some time in its production, it is likely that the correct trans mounts already exist. The trans mounts themselves are typically not dependant on the motor used, and attachment points will usually be identical within a fairly wide range of model years for a specific platform.

No it does not, you can use that trans with a 60 degree.

So what kind of crack did your pusher sell you this time?

        Anyway.

To put the 3.1 in your '94 you may have to use 3.1 mounts from a '91 to '93 L-body, since I believe even the 2.2 uses that timing cover/belt end of engine mount, 3100 mounts for an L-body may also work.

It may be the 2.4 that has the bellhousing issues, some thing to check first at any rate.

Yes its the 2.3L and 2.4L which share the odd Starter location/ different bellhousing setup you are thinking of.

2.2L's are identical to the 60v6.

Thanks for the info. Its always enlightening to see that there are those capable of correcting an oversite without spewing childish insults from the safety of their keyboard.

Hmmm, you'd think that with the number of times that myself and other members have typed out this information, along with at least one dedicated thread to this very topic, that the information is readily available and has been for quite some time. So get over it, savvy?

I've seen you type out way too many incorrect statements regarding these engines, and it gets tiring after a while.

The mount for the Isuzu and the Getrag 282/NVG550 are not the same. They should still be available from SPO, and if not, your favorite junk yard.
