I want to get my 3400 rebuilt but with all performance internals and everything else. Where is a good place to research parts for this engine?

Wow, never thought about posting there, lol. Seriously, only reason I asked is because I have asked the question of what can be done to the 3400 engine here before and there was never a reply to it. If you happen to know what parts would be good for this and know where to get the good parts, post up.
Thanks

The 3400 is full of good parts. What would you want to change? Everything is stout enough to hadle about 400HP and 7000RPM.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

Well, you have to do a little valve train work to hit 7000rpm and keep it together, but the bottom end has no qualms with it. Have to change pistons or headgasket to get your compression ratio up or down enough to get 400 hp out of the motor. Besides that you can leave a lot of it be.

I agree, the pistons themselves can take whatever you throw at them as long as you treat them right. That means NO detonation. The compression ratio is too low for big NA power and too high for big turbo power. However, from what I've heard, with a good tune there is nothing wrong with pumping about 10 psi in on stock internals.

I agree with that. Who was it that had the 400HP Turbo Camaro on all stock parts?
Granted it was on really high octane fuel. But it was on an old iron head motor. Aluminum heads produce much more power these days.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
