  • 2.5 fiero engine swap 3400 or 3.4

My buddy has an 84 fiero and it has the 2.5 with a 4spd , and we want to throw a 3400 in there and he thinks it will bolt up to the trans. I don't know anything about fieros but i know alot of people on here do so im asking for some help. thanks. I just put a 3400 into my beretta and we know if we can get one into a fiero that thing will fly.

The other thing is i know people are also talking about a 3.4 from a 4th gen f-body??

Also what is all required to do this swap for those who have done it, if it is possible. like i said i have no idea. I know it looke like custom engine mountsbut that is not a problem. I keep telling him to get a 2.8 with a 5spd and then we can do it it should be easier but they are hard to come by in milwaukee.

Yes it will bolt right up to the tranny. However I believe there may be some necessary moding for the engine front lower mount. You'll need a v6 harness a v6 computer. New air breather system.V6 fuel pump,v6exhaust,If he has a manual transmission I believe he also needs a flywheel from a 88+ but you'll have to look into that.

Here is where you'll get all the info you'll ever need on that swap.

I am just about to start a 3100 swap in an 88 5spd coupe myself.
Goodluck.Ohyeah if you want a custom chip made for you Darthfiero can do it.He's on that forum. The 3.4 90-91camero swap is just as easy as the 2.8 swap. You can also use the fiero heads and intake if you want it to look stock.
