technical note: the 3rd gen Jbodies are actually a few pounds (not alot but still) Heavier than a 2nd Gen Jbody

Aren't Grand Ams and Aleros also J-bodies? Am I correct in that thinking? If so then there's no doubt that guys had an easy time swapping it in. Though I tihnk he should have gone and gotten a Grand AM harness right away and saved himself a lot of time.

Edit: Nope, I'm wrong. A SunFire is a J-body and Buick and Olds have no J bodies. MY bad.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

Buick DID have a Jbody, the old SkyHawk. Same with Cadillac, the Cimmaron was a Jbody as well.. a big luxury pimping Jbody.

Grand am, Alero, Malibu, Acheiva, older Skylarks, Calais, hmm... what else was there.... i know im missing something... were/are all Nbodies.

umm. that website helped me a lot... should i stay with pontiac and get a newer sunfire, or a newer cavalier? i do want a new car that i can put a body kit on and a carbon fiber hood.

                Pontian Fiero.

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em.

I wouldn't mind one. A guy here locally has one in the 13's with only a 75 shot of nitro. Looks like a fun car to drive, mid engine rear wheel drive.

i say rwd 3400 project in the chevette. i think if a j body with a stock 3400 will run mid 14s, you should easily be able to get the chevette into the 13s. after all, nobody suspects a chevette.

I used to walk by this Chevette every morning at my old work. The car was absoloute mint condition. Even the setbelts in the back were lined up with the seat seams. It was nuts. Sort of a brown/cream 2 tone colour. That thing would be a killer sleeper.

Um yes. Unless you find a dual purpose bellhousing that has starter openings on both sides. Or if you used a T5 from an Isuzu Trooper which had a drivers side starter.
