Goto l67swap.com if you are interested in that swap. We don't discuss it here being that the L67 is not a 60º engine.
As far as good aftermarket parts, what exactly are you wanting and how much are you willing to spend? How much can or will you be doing yourself, etc... I can tell you places to get custom internals and such, but if you don't want to touch the inside of the engine, then its a waste of time. If you are just looking for bolt-ons, then it truly isn't even worth the power gain you will see.-Brad-

Don't get me wrong as I love my 660s(both turbo 3.1), but I wouldn't say it was a better engine.\'89 Ciera Int. Coupe

Well, there is a NA 3800SII in the 11s in an F-body, and an NA 3800SII GP in the 12s. Also, I've only seen J-body/Fiero 660s in the 13s and 12s. I'm talking about GPs in the 12s, which would translate into 11s easy in a fiero. I'm not saying that the 660s aren't great little engines, but they definitely have a lot to be desired.\'89 Ciera Int. Coupe

I've seen 305 Camaros in the 9s and 10s. I mean, the 305 is a 5.0L, so its only 1.2L bigger. Kinda similar to the 0.7L difference between the 3800 and 3.1. The 305 is 25% bigger than the 3800 which is 19% bigger than the 3.1L. And I bet the Camaro is almost as heavy as the GP.

A 3800 Series II making about 400HP N/A to push an F-Body into the 11's
HMMM. How streetable is this car? At what RPM does it make this power at? How much money is in this motor? Are we even still talking about the same iron head boat anchor here? Or just something that resembles it?1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

The stock block and crank on those 3800s don't last very long under that load, or if you beat on it too much in factory trim....... or if you don't beat on it at all...... They have big tendancies to make windows, the oiling system is really the pits...Also it's not built up like the old 3.8 Turbo engine, which is in a class all it's own.
The stock ports on a 3800 are really small.....It'd be hard to push 400hp with the equipment that GM gives it. GM really needs to put that botched up relic out to pasture...Plus the engine sounds like a zombie from Resident Evil. Throw out the S/C and what you have is an ancient boulder of an engine. It took GM over 30years to make it suitable for human consumption and it still weighs a trillion lbs... Thats pretty pathetic. It also likes to flare up like Mount St.Helens on occasion(better have an extinguisher ready)....If I was going 90deg, I'd rather a 4.3 anyday of the week. At least that has been good from the get go, sb chevy architecure helped.
Nice to see the 3500/3900 is a breath of fresh air.....60/V6 is a pretty stout piece esspecially when its able to inhale(less the 52mm tb) and exhale(less the 2inch exhaust, log manifolds, and crossover), but alas a V8 is more fitting for a car weighing in at 3500lbs...
To thoroughly enhance the 60 deg you need advanced knowledge of engines, and how to locate and manipulate parts, which is a good thing really. But heres big surprise... if you really wanna go fast and not dilly dally, get a Corvette, Camaro/Firebird, or Mustang. Nowadays they'll do low 14's- 13's right out of the box....I mean not for nothing but stop the presses.Lorenzo
