No. The blocks have the starter mounted drilled on different sides between FWD and RWD blocks.

And from your first post (before you mentioned the Camaro engine), there are 2 versions of a 3.4L: a 3.4 pushrod and a 3.4 DOHC. The DOHC is basically completely different except for the bore and stroke. As far as the pushrod 3.4 and a 3400, there are still some very significant differences, basically from the block up. 3.4 uses iron heads, 3400 uses aluminum heads. Therefore the top ends are completely different. The list is really big as far as the differences...

If the 3.4 has been previous installed into a Fiero, the starter holes must have already been re-drilled, so they would be right for the Beretta application.

Go look at the 60* Family tree on the main page. It will answer your questions.

The 3.4 pushrod engine from a 94-95 f-body will fit in a Fiero and 'retta. The starter needs to be redrilled to the other side and all the Fiero parts (intakes, timing cover, waterpump, oil pan, distrib.) all need to be switched onto the 3.4. You must also use a flywheel, if you have a manual trans, or flexplate, if you have an auto, from an 88 Fiero V6 becuase the 88 was the only year in the Fiero that had an internally balanced engine. The 3.4 is also internally balanced so that's why you need to use that or you're destroy the engine. You will need the 17 Lb injectors from the f-body 3.4 to use on the Fiero rail too but, otherwise, the harness, computer, and most parts are all from the Fiero V6.
Pretty common swap in a Fiero.
The 3400 will also fit and has been done in the Fiero. Not as common and more to it though.
The 3.4 DOHC engine is becoming a popular swap in a Fiero too. I'm thinking about doing one in mine in fact. The DOHC engine works very well with the Getrag 5-speed and lightweight of the Fiero.

                modded 2.8 pushrod...for now.
