    quick question.. i had a 2.8 in my grandprix, and got a 3.1 and re rebuilt a 3.1 now i m gettin ready to put it in.. now the orig wire harness i know u can disconnect one half where it goes to the injectors and map sesnor.. with the grey and black connectors. so can i just change those out to the new harness peice to connect the egr valve and injecotors. and pick up a new computer chip or do i have to get the entire harness

    for the injectors, its the same harness. the egr though is different, its electronic opposed to the vacume operated one on the 2.8l. i would just swap the egr over, then you dont have to change any wiring.

      well thats wut i m talkin about i know the part with the injectors that part of the harness the only diff is the egr valve.. i rather have the elect egr then that shitty plunger type they always break on me. so i m gonna keep the other half of the harness, if anyone gets wut i m saying

        if you want the electric egr, then you will have to get a 3.1l ecm, and possibly the entire engine bay harness.

          alright so i know i need the ecm, so i cant change just that part of the harness since it does disconnect? or u dont think there will ba wire for it in the harness for it in the beginin of the harness.... ahh the hell with it i'll go pick 1 up LOL
