  • 3500 LX9 RWD Swap - wiring harness

I'm at the point that I need to source a wiring harness from an early 2.8L or 3.1L FWD V6 with the 1227730 ECM. I have a remanufatured ECM but no memcal or prom. I cant find one either. Anyone have one they want to get rid of? Going on an 06 3500 from a g6, no mods yet, just want to get it running in the next two weeks.

Also, does anyone have a harness they have made up for the LX9 in a RWD swap they want to sell? I have emailed, PM'd, and called Marc at BCC but no reply for two weeks now...? He no longer appears to sell just the harness anyway.

Mark is very difficult to get in touch with from my understanding but he is still there. I have been told there are a few other guys working to help out as well. I do not know the current sales route they are taking. Talk to others on the MGExperience and you may be able to find a little more info or someone willing to do some horse trading possibly.

I went to another yard this morning and did get another 1227730 ECM and engine harness out of a '90 2.8 celebrity. I also pulled a coil pack, fuel rail, and it's harness from a '02 Alero 3.4L. I think I have most of the parts to get it running...still missing lots of small items most likely.

Whats the best method of sorting through this harness and getting rid of all the unnecessary wires? Is there a good pinout diagram that shows wire color? Has anyone made any kind of guide?
