Should do it like an evo hood rather than directing all the water right at the engine and belt assy...

if you haven't welded that scoop in flip it around and see how it looks. will probably work better than the way you have it setup now. the way it is now any precipitation and potential debris will head right towards the manifold.

That scoop is very stock-style except a bit farther forward. I think it suits the car but there has to be a way to prevent rain/dirt from getting through.

Don't like it... Probably mostly because of angular it is, and not rounded like the car.

I've been trying to think of something for a while on how I would dress this, and haven't come up with anything I really like, or can easily explain. But the best idea I've had so far, I think is to use a stock scoop, or possibly an STI scoop, because they are taller, and then mount it in front of the intake, and then blending it into the hood, with smooth transitions, probably out to existing body lines to keep it subtle.

Modified front cover with rad cap and alternator mount.
Almost ready to run it up to temp with working accessories.

Whats left? I see a bunch of wiring just laying on the intake manifold lol

                            a few things.

got my tach to work with the ms3x. this involved a tinyio board from jbperf.com.

it communicates to the ms3x-pro via can to get the rpm. then outputs a spoofed 36-2-2-2 wheel pattern for the stock subaru crank trigger to work. this allows my tach to work and the fuel pump to run. excellent.

also did a test rip. needs a tune.
