RBP logos don't really belong on 1,000$ ghetto booty fab rigs, but regardless, I thought it was hilarious. Some of my buddies have these lifted F350 trucks all decked out and I wanted to be funny. LOL.

Here is the front, completed. I think I'm happy with the pitman / drag link angle, it's not at much an angle at all.. It's a ZJ pitman arm. I set the caster to 6* and welded the perches on. If you compare this to above where I had the YJ arm, this looks MUCH better.

My rear fixed reservoir Billsteins all mounted up.

Got the set from a local jeeper :

I extended the wheelbase another 3/4" to make sure my tires don't rub the firewall. I will chop the front fender about 3". rather chop the front of the fender rather then the firewall myself...

last but not least my gun control bumper sticker.

Still a ton of crap left to do..

Weld on front shock hoops, front shocks, brake lines, need a custom front driveshaft, some interior stuff left.

    It's coming right along though.

I HATE YOU! NO REALLY....I HATE YOU! Ive had my damn blazer since 2006 and you've had this thing for a few months and got all this work done, and a few months more you will have a 3500T lifted blazer. My shitbox is still collecting dust waiting for its day!

      Nice work Mars!

I'm still kind of undecided about the engine.

I bet this 2.8L would run for years. I Might just rock that for now. I'll have the 4.88 gears so it will do 60MPH easy I bet...

But at the same time, I'm almost done the truck (besides engine swap) and it's only January. I have 4 months left of shop time before I want the thing to be ready... Can do a 3500 easily in 4 months.

I will decided spur of the moment I guess.

nothing to report. been really cold up here. too cold to work in the shop, well I could work in there, but I would burn through all my firewood keeping it 70*F in there.

Weather is coming around, started to mess with the truck a little bit.  This is what I came up with for a front X-member, the stock one wouldn't have cleared a front driveshaft.

I got my front XJ shaft shortened. They also shortened a rear Camaro shaft that I had to fit in this application. so got both d/shafts done.

my nifty 100$ Eastwood notcher, love this thing, I'll let the pics do the talking...

                Front hoops :

Really getting down to it now...

I got the 4.88 gears installed in the rear, front still has 3.73 or whatever, so i will be riding with no front shaft for a while.

I installed a new gas tank / sending unit / pump and filter, and re-did most of the fuel lines. Added a 180000 GVW transmission cooler

                Whats LEFT :

Exhaust have some 2.5" mandrel bends, a 2.5" stainless cat, and a Dynomax Ultraflo mufler
Brake lines, about 80% completed now.
                E-brake cables
fix a hole in the drivers side floor (I may buy a complete pan, and use whatever i need)
                INstall the 6X9 speakers obviously.

                ----------------------------

                ISSUES with the 2.8L..

I started making an exhaust for this truck, was going perfect, fired it up to hear my work, and MAJOR manifold gasket leak... so I try to remove the manifold, all bolts broke, pulled the heads off, try to remove the broken studs with an EZ out, got 4 outta 6..., then shit went bad... haha broke a couple EZ outs in the head, ect, broke a bunch more crap, ect... SOOO, the truck is getting the 3500 that is sitting in my garage. I already have a harness, a WOT trigger, injectors..

I gotta pull the TBI pump and replace with a Walbro 255HP. make mounts, ect. The pass side clamshell mount fit in 2 bolt holes, I just re-enforced it a little and used an additional 2 holes on the block, it's solid now.

Have pics of engine progress but Photobucket is screwing me at the moment, updates coming shortly...

                    out comes 2.8L

                    3500 driver side mount started..

Hedman longtubes that DONT fit... I will be using 3500 manifolds for the exhaust instead. Save the headache.

                    Starter interference :

                    engine :

Serpentine setup. Uses stock tensioner... Should work great.

I got my Walbro pump installed in the tank, just gotta put it back in the truck now. Coming right along..
