The headgasket is kaput on my Venture and I would like to swap in the engine from my 03 Malibu. The 3.1 has 100 000 less kms on it and I already own it are my reasons for wanting to do this swap.
Questions:
1) Is the wiring harness presently in the Venture plug and play for the 3.1l engine
2) What transmission do I need/want to use for this swap (the 3.1 is in better shape)
3) What ECU would I use?
4) Is there a tranny computer or is that built into the ECU?
5) Anything to watch out for?
6) What are my engine and tranny codes?
