Need help finging a cheap 3400

My Beretta's 3.1 is knocking and it's time to replace the engine soon.

Been trying to find a 3400 in my local area but the prices are nuts.

I've tried www.car-part.com and the cheapist was $800.
I live in New Jersey.

Any other web site I can use to find a 3400 before I start digging in my local junk yards?

How much did you pay for your 3400?

I picked up a 3400 out of a '00 Malibu for $300 on Ebay. We picked it up at a JY here in Ohio and avoided any shipping charges.

Can anyone list some cars that came with a 3400? I keep forgetting theres more to GM than Chevy and Pontiac. :P Trying to see if I can get lucky.

I'll be surprised if I find a 3400 on Ebay. Then again Ebay has been good to me.

I got my from car-parts.com for $250 with only 21K on it, but that was from Minnesota...you may want to look at some in Minn because the shipping was very reasonable for me to Iowa...they only charged me $50

I know, that is why I could not pass that up...motor was a front hit though so the radiator was broke and there was dexcool all over the place...but cleaned up very well...

Engine from a 2003 Malibu (3400SFI) With Tranny on Ebay with 7 hrs. to go for $800.00. No bids so far. Only 10,000 miles!
