hey guys, i'm chris.. im new here.. not new to this kind of work as i have performed many swaps on hondas(know wiring inside and out) and a few fords, mostly 1.9l escorts.
anyhow i have 2 vans, and 05 venture and a 98 transport.
need to swap the 05 engine/trans to the 98
from my understanding i need to reuse the fuel rails/inj from the 98 and possibly mess with cam/crank sensors.. so far i've learned the electrical connectors for the most part are the same and not stupid like honda where they change every 2-3 years. altho i didnt look that deep into the vans wiring yet.. i have swapped some things exterior wise and all hooked up.
i haven't touched anything yet as i'm waiting to get a few weeks where i can take my time.
mostly curious how plug and play this swap is.. i will most likely swap the whole sub-frame from one van to another to save time and carry most of the new parts over since there chassis are virtually identical and should swap across from the research i have done. and do plugs at the same time lol.
so anything i should know before starting? cant really find any docs on differences in years of OBD or electrical. so just asking before i get in over my head.
