engine swap

hey guys im new to the site and i need alittle information. i have a 1992 pontiac sunbird GT with the 3.1l v6. my car has 380000 km on it and the body is still mint. i want to make it faster and i think this engine has just about had it. i can get a 3.4L just wondering a few things
1. do I need to change the engine mounts or does it just drop in?
2. can i use the 5 speed tranny out of my car?
3. is the wiring different than the wiring in the 3.1?

Well first off you will need to know which "3.4" it is, 3.4 DOHC, 3.4 SFI or 3400.

The only question I can answer with certainty, without knowing exactly which "3.4" you are talking about is the tranny, yes you can retain that computer.

The wiring regardless of which one you are looking at will need at least some minor changes.

Wont fit, too wide, too long, among many other issues....

Look at this site, and you'll see what I mean, after months of work, they got the car to move a few feet under it's own power, before abandoning the project.
