I have a 95 Z26 with the 3100,it is knocking badly because of the dreaded LIM gasket,changed it,but i guess it was to late.
I found on craigslist a 3100 out of a 96 Corsica,what if anything will have to be swapped to make my car run again? I know for a fact my EGR is different.the plug is different.The owner of the corsica was T-boned and he cut the car in half and has disposed of the rear section,still has the front half,he is giving me the tranny also,a new radiator,which I have found are different part number then mine,new Alternator which is same part number.
He pulled the engine and tranny and then got bored and had target practice on the PCM.will I need a PCM from a 96 corsica with the 3100? I have read that my 95 has pivot rockers,the 96 I believe has roller rockers.Will this pose a problem with my PCM if I can even use it. My pcm is OBD 1.5 I believe where as the 96 is OBD 2.
