2002 2.2 L Cavalier Engine Swap

hey, i'm 17 and just got my cavalier like 3 months ago, it has a 2.2 L 2200 in it. i want to do a lot of things with it, but i want power and i keep hearing that there isn't much you can do with the 2200 SFI so i want to swap it out for a 3400 6 cylinder. I know very little about car performance and i'm not even sure where i would find one so where do i start. thanks!
