Does the 86 camaro flywheel have the same balance (weight, position, etc) as an 86' s10 blazer flywheel? I'm converting from an automatic to a T5 and have a camaro flywheel on hand that I would like to use. I don't have a blazer one. Although the casting numbers are different will it balance correctly? Thanks for the help all.

Yes it will balance correctly. You cannot use a Camaro T5 with an S-10 flywheel. The Camaro T5 in a Truck will put the shifter just in front of the seats and will not allow the use of a console.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

Thanks! Fortunately it's not going into a truck but I will keep that in mind for later.
Quick question while it's on my mind, although the automatic flywheel is lighter does it also have the same balance weights as the manual flywheel? If not why might that be?

I'm not educated on the subject, but knowing both flexplates and flywheels for those engines are externally balanced, I would imagine the weights on them are the same.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Yes the out of balance weight is the same when in rotation. It does not matter what the overall weight is when put on a scale.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
