I want to see where you mount your P/S pump. I love the alt mount idea... I might hae to borrow that one. I dont like where the accessories are mounted on the f-bodies... too bulky.
same for me, but i didnt want them sticking out the hood with f body stuff. as for the powersteering, i ditched it and have a block off at the rack.

some new things done. engine parts are cleaned up and powdercoated. built the alternator bracket, used a turn buckle for the tensioner. decided to delete powersteering all together. picked up some awesome powder for powder coating. now that the engine is all together (almost) its ready to go back into the engine bay.

Nice score on the rack. They are $80 at the local yard but they never have m3's lol.

been busy lately with little things. drivetrain pulled out and on stands. degreased transmission and wire wheeled the entire casing, except the shifter which i have a new one for. i decided while the engine was out to clean/shave brackets in the engine bay. used undercoating to spray "frame" portion down and the front of the trans tunnel. painted the bay semi-flat black rattle can 4 coats. turned out decent for the theme of the car which ill give away when i get to it. i also decided to start powder coating things myself instead of a buddy, so i hit up craigslist...bam $50 working oven, and $60 for my buddies old hot spot eastwood powder coater. i used matte black on the engine mounts and transmission mount, turned out great. Another swap going on as well..i picked up a steering rack for a 95 m3 from a local european salvage yard. turns out the rack is zf remanufactured with new tie rod ends for only $80! more good things to come!

bellhousing is from a 95 2.2l s10, which has the starter hole on the correct side. its a modified unit from british sports car conversions.

The 2200 in the 01-02 Cavalier had a GM Metric bell housing like the 60* and 3800s. Starter is on the driver side of course.

Rwd 60º engines have the starter on the passenger side. [S10,F-body(3.4)]
FWD 60ºV6 have the starer on the left of the block (would be driver side in RWD config)
The 2.2 came directly from fwd, so the starer is on the dirver side (in rwd config) and uses a different bellhousing than the 2.8. I had a 2.8 S-10 and it did not have dual starter pockets.
Early F-body had starter pockets on both sides. (circa 1989-91?)
3800 F-body has the starter on the driver side, with the same metric bolt pattern...just like the FWD 60º v6's and fwd 3800's....
I believe the 3800 F-body trans bolt patern (to belhousing) is the same as the Ford, but on the GM...there is a rotation present, which clock the trans towd the driver.

The bellhousing is from something with an External slave or cable.... Looks to be 2.2 S10...but the clutch disc is throwing me off in regards to the trans. Could be a f-body trans.

Basically, i've been trying to figure out something similar to this for a long while still not quite sure what combo works.

Congrats, this is a really awesome build.

Sup with the trans? Is that a mustang t-5 mated to a 3800 F-body bellhousing? What slave setup (cable/hydro,external/concentric)?
